Writer | Executive Producer of #RealityHigh - a Netflix Film


Brandon Broussard is a screenwriter currently residing in Los Angeles, California, with 15 years of writing experience under his belt. He was writer and director of the 2003 award winning feature film The Epicureans, which competed in multiple film festivals, and won several audience awards. In 2006 he was a fellow at USC in the Guy Hanks & Marvin Miller screenwriting program.  He received his first TV writing credit in 2008 on Tyler Perry’s House of Payne.

 

Since then, he’s shifted to writing features.  Throughout his career, Brandon has both written and produced screenplays alongside several well-known figures includingThe Perfect Match, which was produced by Queen Latifah and Lionsgate. His second film, #RealityHigh which he wrote and Executive produced with his team Murder Ink is a Netflix Original movie and was released Sept. 8.  Another film he penned, The Trap starring Mike Epps and TI is in post-production and will be released in the spring of 2018.  In addition to those films, Brandon has several films in development with MTV, Universal and Netflix and will make his directorial debut in 2018.

 

In addition to writing and producing, Brandon created the company Barack the Vote in 2008. During the election, this company made millions in sales, helped mobilize the black youth vote, and popularized the phrase “Barack the Vote.” The company’s success landed Brandon, and his sister, on the cover of Black Enterprise.  In 2012, he worked on Barack the Vote once again, and was featured in a Docu-Series called “The Second Coming” on BET.
