NSU graduate and Richmond, Virginia native Vincent Ellis White, carries a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Mass Communications, a Master’s in Education, an Executive Management Certificate in Business Management, and is a class of 2017 alumni of the Richmond Christian Leadership Initiative.
Recently chosen as Richmond’s 2017 “Hometown Hero” by the prestigious law firm Allen, Allen, Allen & Allen, Mr. White is all about creating social change and has become an inspiration to a rapidly growing national audience with the book and a traveling stage play entitled, “Finding Chris, My Father” which shares a story that gives a very candid and emotionally compelling look at the issues of fatherhood, bullying, and domestic violence. His uniquely candid and very transparent lectures and counseling seminars have generated similar quests among those who seek to heal open wounds and find their divine purpose. The stage play, which has been successfully touring since 2013, has been performed at various theatres in Virginia, amongst many. Vincent’s heartfelt story has been featured on CBS, NBC, ABC in New York, and lectured upon at various universities. White has also enjoyed numerous acknowledgements such as Richmond Virginia’s Style Weekly magazine “Top 40 under 40” award-winning recipient for his outstanding efforts in the city/community and Richmond Times Dispatch features.
His two originally published books: “The Fully-Seasoned Man’s Relationship Recipe” and “Finding Chris, My Father” have gained heavy traction and attention—even from Hollywood, with the latter having had a movie offer.
As an entrepreneur, his V.E.W Enterprises (voice, empowerment, and worth/wisdom) allows him the means to sew all of his education and experiences together and continue his outstanding devotion to promoting healthy families and fatherhood, empowering people across the world by raising awareness on the plights of fatherlessness and lethargy in our communities. He enjoys teaching and raising his amazing son, hosting and facilitating events around the country, speaking in various churches, directing/hosting the podcast, utilizing his platform, specifically The V.E.W. Show to highlight other important pillars in his community, and even a little bit of acting every now and then. His powerful testimony of seeking to find himself & his “divine purpose” will definitely ignite a fire inside of each of you that you will never want to see dimmer. He believes that if he can persevere and become successful after everything that he’s been through, then anyone can.
